How is the initial share price determined?

The cost of one share depends on the student’s set valuation. Here’s a super simple way to think about it:

  • If the student wants $100,000 for 8% of their equity, it means they set their valuation at $1,250,000 (because $100,000 is 8% of $1,250,000).

  • To find the price of one share, you take 0.01% of the student’s set valuation. In this case, 0.01% of $1.25 million equals $125 per share.
